I feel that this builder cut the intonation point rather short on this one - or put another way, it would be nice if the pup route was further toward the neck. Does this seem right to you? The front pencil line indicated by the red arrow is 12.75 inches from the 12th fret.

Is it because the tele "plate" bridge mount allows you to ride OVER the pup cavity?

Was it specifically routed for a stock Fender “ashtray” tailpiece? Maybe that’s why it’s so close?

The seller did not say, but it is a fair assumption. There is evidence for the half bridge placement like in my pics, but the intonation point still seems to be further back

I do not like tele bridge pups, but even an HB with a ring will not cover that tele bridge route.

I do not want to cover wood with that stupid plate. It looks like I have enough real estate to intonate.

Yeah, they look much further back. How is everything else? Is the neck pocket for the standard 21 feet neck? Also, heel design?Do they match up properly? I forget if theTele has the square or rounded heel.

The first time I visited Minnesota, my friend took me to the Spam factory. It was not far from where he grew up.

The tele is square. I checked that it was in the pocket securely, but if it is not, that would only set the intonation point BACK more, and I have plenty of travel room there!!

I am going to use all the forward space I have and go for it. In the end, it will intonate.

It just looks like the saddles are 1/2" too far forward.
