MFNAKD... C3 SLO-100 minus 50

Today the preamp board sprouted some hairs!

This took me a lot longer than I thought it would. The thicker white cabling is RG188u teflon coax that is being used for the necessary shielded wire runs.

And for my Favorite Flaming Floridian Friend, I dedicate this day of glorious soldering to the one and only @eSGEe... Enjoy:

Trying to get a close-up pic of the two coax cable's shields and conductors joining the board. I love this stuff... :woohoo:

Still waiting on the missing parts, so it's been very slow-going the last five days. A few odds and ends semi-installed and a lot of nervous pre-planning that's leading to some interesting head games.

Anywayz... Went to Walmart and invested in a $6 jeweler's pliers (or round needlenose) so I can easily do little doodads to some of the buss wire like this:

When I can, I try to take the advantage of wiring up the hardware where there is more space:

Some of the MIA parts need to go in the middle of V3 & V4. Those two tubes are part of the effects loop circuit and tonestack circuit. I'm trying to follow C3's suggested sequence in building this amp, which is not to crowd yourself into tight spaces by adding components that don't really need to be installed yet... Makes sense... :yesway:. BUT... I thought it was safe to install the pots plus a couple bits of jumper wiring:

SLAVE jack and level control:

FOOT SWITCH? Dang nabbit! I'm going have to get a one-button footswitch for total Mojo control. It's going to have to be something cool though...

Also MIA are a couple resistors for each power tube socket. The beefy screen resistors and the grid stoppers...

Once I get those missing parts installed, the next phase will be to install and wire up the power tranny and choke. Then the power supply will be tested before adding the preamp and the automatic beer dispenser... :woohoo:

Nice job Greg.
This "power tranny" looks pre wired...

Automatic beer dispenser,, sounds like a touchy mod ;)

Still waiting for those missing parts to be delivered. They were shipped six days ago from Dallas, Texas. I guess I should be relieved that I'm not living in those parts of our country that have been blindsided by debilitating weather... like Dallas, Texas!!!! Holy poop! What a mess!!

Yeah nothing is moving from Texas right now for me either. The jack plate for the 1960A cab, as well as the order of resistors and capacitors from Mouser electronics is all held up in Texas. I ordered before the storm but processing caught me up and now, who knows when?
