Okay, okay, this is a bone of contention for many when they buy a second-hand pedal and it has the 'wrong' velcro under it. Some people like to use loop velcro on their board and hook on their pedals, others like hook velcro on their board and loop on their pedals.

Which way do you have it, and why?

I have loop velcro under my pedals because if I use them off of the board I don't want to spend half an hour trying to pry the pedal from the carpet.
I do not have a preference and often wondered why people prefered one over the other. Your reasoning makes sense.

I also wondered why velcro at the bottom of a pedal is such a negative upon re-sale. It comes off easy enough and any excess glue can be easily cleaned with any number of products. In any event, this is one of my favorite price reductions.

I put the hook on the board and the loop on the pedal because I don't want the board to have a furry strip which gets grass of hair or other dirt stuck in it. If that happens on the hook side you can just get a hair comb and remove it with less fuss. That hasn't happened, but if it did I have a plan to fix it :H5:

Hooks on the pedals.
If I decide to bring only 1 pedal along and there is carpet on
the bandstand the pedal will stay where I put it on the floor.

I have the loop on the board, only because it was already on there from the manufacturer. Cheers

All I cann say is that judging by Dave's board in his signature, he knows what he is doing. We should just follow his lead!
