Gibson buying Mesa?

No prob for me

been playing for 25+ years on bass in & out of studios & on & off stages

Not 1 time did when a brand did come up did we bash anything..we just used what fit the song best..the positivity was all about making music & helping each other it..wasn't until i got on a gear sites do to an accident 4 years ago did i ever see so much bull:poo: about nothing to do with making music.
 
I love both companies honestly, so im good with this, but i get the fears and outrage. Considering Gibson just went thru a massive bankruptcy and off loaded tons of their brand acquisitions, there's definitely a fear of failure here. But Gibson has always bought other companies like Tobias, Trace Elliot, Slingerland, Baldwin and yes, even Epiphone

Maybe if they step up their quality they would not be bankrupted?
Im only saying what ive seen on YT and give costumers what they want?

ill guarantee Mesa amps will be way more expensive now... :)

Gibson has a long history of quality being up and then being down. Admittedly, the entire mid 2000s until almost 2 years ago, were some of the worst years for quality. Great guitars were still made but consistency wasnt there. You could hold 2 guitars of the same exact year and model together and one would be fine, while the other would have issues. It stemmed from bad treatment of the workers and an ignorant CEO who just gave up caring.

However, now the quality has gotten so much better and really from about 89-2005, quality was really good. The mid to late 70s into the mid 80s was spotty like it was a few years ago but again, good guitars were still built in those years. The issues now with Gibson is still bad leadership with the new change of the guard. They dont seem to care like they said they would so unless things change, quality will probably fail again.

But ironically, thats the perfect company to buy Mesa Boogie because they're quality is as equally dog poop anymore. The build some of the best sounding amps ever made but reliability is the biggest issue they face nowadays. Constantly being sent back for repairs over the most simple issues that shouldn't exist. That all began to really become a problem by the late 90s-mid 2000s.
