It does. At a certain point in my twenties I knew I would never be EVH, Clapton, Zappa, or any of them. But, if I worked hard enough, I could try to develope my own sound and technique. I’d still need to learn from others to have a workable vocabulary. That way, if I actually did write anything others liked, it would be my own voice.

Besides, I didn’t really want to be any of them anyway.

Its great to be given a road map by the legends but its better when you go make your own trail.

That absolutely blows dude, sorry you gotta put up with that. This piece of poop job here is about 60miles away, gotta pay parking, get charged $3 a day for just working in the city of Charleston for a "city users fee", about $16 a day in tolls and they are working 5 8hr days a week, so gas gets ate up. Plus the foreman here is a bird dogging prick lol

$3 for a day? thats cheap man in my city min £3.50 in a hour some places more :)

That’s what I truly appreciate about my job. I get paid door to door, because travel time is billable to the customer. As well as mileage, tolls, etc. By the time Friday rolls around, I’m into overtime. I’m probably the only person stuck in traffic with a smile on my face and the tunes cranked, knowing I’m getting time and a half.

A few months back I parked in the city for a Site Survey I do on occasion with the sales guy. Paid for 2 hours of parking at a lot right next door to the building I was headed for. I don't look at parking prices when I pay, because I use a company card since it's covered under work. When I did my expenses at the end of the month....

$44 for 2 hours parking.

a few years back I was working on a job helping the techs out in the field. I popped my head above the ceiling tiles and written on the drywall above the ceiling grid, someone was trying to do math. Written right next to the horrible fraction math attempt was the phrase: "Improper fraction Chilton you dumb F***!"

$44 for 2 H? damn whats the car park made out of gold and has silk floor? once i parked paid the ticket and still got fine... apparently i was parked one bay over where i was meant to be....

Yep. If you're ever in Seattle, it's the small lot directly across the street from the Columbia Tower, the tallest building in Seattle. Avoid that like the plague. No wonder it's almost always empty and it's in the heart of the busy district. :D
