All things Led Zeppelin

Other than hearing the Immigrant song as my first Zep, This is how I cut my teeth. My first Zep album.

My first was LZII, but Physical Graffiti is really the album that made me truly love Led Zeppelin. I'd have to say that it and Presence are my favorites. Maybe III also. Sophie's freaking choice, y'know?

I believe the first album I owned of theirs was In through the Outdoor--- and every thing they ever made I could get my hands on followed......

I recreated a 3 foot by 2 foot "mural" in art class of the SWAN SONG record logo in FOOL COLOR ..........got an A+

The first 2 albums I bought as a kid were LZII and a beach Boys one (with Help Me Rhonda). I have all the LZ albums on vinyl and CD.

Dono, LZ 2 came out a good number of years before I was first exposed to Zep, Although Immigrants came out on LZ3 in 1970, I think it had to be a full 6-7 years before I would hear it as in '70 I was only 6. I didn't buy my first album till likely 3 years later when I was 9. It had some pretty cool songs on it though. It was like a collection of covers by the Stylistics called Autumn 73.

Physical Graffiti is a special place for me; but I dig all the studio records up through In Through the out door.
I think I have CODA somewhere but never took the time to really digest it.
You can pick out about where the songs come from though.

Gball,. I have 10 Years as number 1 or 2 for me too.

I pondered this song as I jammed with it on headphones in the wee hours after 4 am tonight, I could not help but think of a phenomenon in this track that seems to be a characteristic of the tune and Zep's catalog as a whole. LAYERS.

Listen to the myriad of drum sounds, Bonzo uses, listen to acoustic guitars, Jimmy's LP and 1275 uses, JPJ and the bass and keys,,,,,, such masters of the instruments and composition throughout their songs.
