Looking top-notch!!!!

The Construction industry is crazy right now! Glad your place is progressing. Hope that the work gets done before it gets painfully cold over there!Still lots of work going on, just not in the studio. With colder months here I need to get the HVAC installed for the basement (for a total of 3 systems, one for each floor). Got a vendor in and got a good quote. But, before I can do the HVAC work I need a plumber to reroute some water lines, install a new hot water heater, install a toilet and stub out water lines and drain for a vanity and bar sink. They also need to reroute some gas lines and install the gas line run for the new HVAC. First plumber comes out, we go through the list of 6 items. A week later I get a quote and ask when can ya start. No response, 2 phone call voice mails and a half dozen texts, jeez. Call another plumber, he comes over, we go through the list. Says he’ll send a quote next week. Crickets, no response to texts. I’ve now lost 3 weeks. Got a 3rd plumber out, go through the list and he writes a simple estimate on the spot with no itemization or breakdown, way high quote. I blow him off as a flake.
Finally get a get good firm to come our, ask lots of questions, we go over a lot of details. Took them a week to quote. Called them the next day and said when can ya start. 2 weeks. So it took me almost 6 weeks to get a plumber lined up to do $8K worth of work. I guess there’s just too much bigger work to be bother by my simple stuff. Whew, they star next week and then the HVAC install is right after them.

Can't wait to see this finished. This is going to turn out great...![]()
Don we have not met yet, but your studio I think that I will have the privilege to meet, not only you and your family, but a couple more of the members here.Me too. I need the HVAC installed so I can work through the winter. The entire floor, walls and ceiling are insulated. Once the HVAC is installed it’s full speed ahead to getting the drywall installed in the studio !
Can’t wait to meet upCertainly think so Mitch. We didn’t get the meet up at Chris’s yet, but I can see a TTR jam session here in the spring when I get the basement finished. Gotta find a local drummer....

Thanks, and it’s a helluva a lot of fun to build. The basement build out is my retirement project. The studio is going to be an awesome refuge from the world.
Very cool.
Media room?
