An all-Muff big board! Cool. They don't have buffers, though. With so many of' em, does it sound a wee bit...Muffled?

Awesome! I love that Peavey bass. Does the Sub 'n' Up go down two full octaves below the bass?Ummm....it’s kinda modular, and mood dependent.
Cabs: Kustom 2x15 with Weber bass speakers, Peavey 4x10, Peavey 1x15, Tube Works 1x15(used to be a combo amp, but the head section blown by my bass player, on a loaner gig).
Heads: 68 Kustom K200A, 73 Kustom 250-2, TC Electronic BH250, Orange Tiny Terror(yep, the guitar head....don’t knock it ’til you’ve tried it...one of my favorite practice rigs), several random power amps to choose from fed by a UA 6176.
But, most common rigs:

This pedal board pic(above) is a bit dated...the Silencer pedal has been replaced by a Boss NS-2. Also the Flashback delay is mostly used for its looper function(for writing/jamming purposes).View attachment 51596View attachment 51597View attachment 51598
In the last pic, on the right hand side, you can see the Tiny Terror sitting on the Tube Works 1x15. It’s really a quick and dirty little practice rig.
I’m not much of a bassist though...I do like to write songs, and bass is an important part to play in rock/metal/stoner etc.

The whole thing takes up one loop of a loop switcher that is buffered pre and post. So no signal loss problems. An all-Muff big board! Cool. They don't have buffers, though. With so many of' em, does it sound a wee bit...Muffled?![]()
Yes...two octaves down, and one octave up....I don’t use it much for fear of speaker damage....Does the Sub 'n' Up go down two full octaves below the bass?
That settles it. I guess it's Bass Big Muff time.Yes...two octaves down, and one octave up....I don’t use it much for fear of speaker damage....
You’ve got a pile of sweet boom-stick joy going on there, by the look of things! A Deluxe Bass Muff would do well in that setup....if you are into that sort of thing.
If you have a RAT pedal kicking around, and you like Stoner Doom at all, try it out and don’t be shy with the knob tweaking....I was floored by what my homebrew brought to the bass table.A Hartke Bass Attack VXL PreAmp/DI is my only "bass" stompbox but, I have plenty of drives to choose from with my guitar stuff if I want.
