I listen to a broad range of music, but you guys all know what I like the most, there is no right or wrong.
Just a personal preference.

I can dig that. I really enjoy your replies, because you often bring an entirely different dimension to the conversation that I never considered before.
I wasn't particularly fond of the synth-era VH, although it was very radio friendly.
It was a fun experience, but the light never really "came on" for me, as I was listening. I would say "Runnin With The Devil" and "Ain't Talkin Bout Love" were my favorites.
What i was hoping for - and expecting - was for a VH song to "grab me" the way Dio's "Last In Line" did.
For me its Maguro Sashimi with Masago...
My buddy Delfin and I used to get into some very intense (good natured arguments)
RR / EVH
I was a big RR fan, Delfin EVH.
And we always had a good discussion.
The day Eddie died, I came home from work, the local rock station had been playing VH songs all day. So I just sat and listened to the radio, all night.
So I am sad that he is no longer with us, when the first album came out, Eddie was doing the things we had in our minds, but where just not being executed.
R.I.P.
Eddie.
Cheers

So true brother, but we are going to get no more new music.Bet Not too many have heard Eddie sound like the opening to this song.
Mitch, I read one comment in one of the clips I posted above. It said, don't be sad at Eddie's death, Be happy that he lived.
I am not even going to try and name them all, I will forget to many.Guess we can say that about so many of our beloved players.
Jimi, SRV, Randy, DIO, Bon and Malcolm, Green, Dime, Bonham, Moonie, Entwistle, Freddie Mercury, and so many more.
