Thanks man.congrats on the new digs-- my brother in lived in one for several years damn thing had a "fireplace" and a ceiling fan even!!!
Now you can change your name to EarlWell, today I bought a 36' Doubletree Mobile Suites all-season 5th wheel. There's a washer/dryer onboard, an island in the kitchen, corian countertops, maple cabinetry, king size Sleep Number bed upstairs, 3 slide-outs, it's quite roomy for an RV.
So, for the next year or so, I'm going to live in it. We are aiming to be out of the house by the end of the month. Hopefully I find an acceptable RV park to put it in, or somewhere else with full hookups, anyway. A couple of the parks around here seem to have some unsavory types, I'd like to avoid those if possible. But, the nice thing about a home on wheels is that if I don't like a place for some reason, I can just drag it somewhere else.
Anyway, been busy lately, and I'm going to be busy with the move for the next couple weeks too.
I hate moving almost more than anything else lol
No fireplace though.
You may be too young to remember. Google search Matt Foley motivational speaker...Thanks man. It will be our new home for a couple years or so. On wheels lol
That did cross my mind...we do have a big river nearby, and a van like this one:View attachment 47539
Will do!
This reminds me of a problem I have with everything I touch.Dammit. I friggin knew it!
First thing I broke was one of the blinds. Actually, I was kinda trying to fix it, it was a little wonky...but then I broke it.

Those are amazing experiences to log in the story of life. Well done.Never in an RV but I lived on a 31ft boat full time for 3 years. A sailed during summers and just hunkered down during winters. I was very happy there. I then lived with my girlfriend on a 41ft boat for 18 months while cruising full time.
Yeah, my time as a "homeless" sailing bumThose are amazing experiences to log in the story of life. Well done.
Fixing amps is easier...Dammit. I friggin knew it!

I broke mine too just after moving in to my brand new unit. I gave myself a quick training class on how to fix it. Been working for 1.5 years now, but I never open it. I actually have reflective silver bubble insulation covering the window to keep the summer heat down.Dammit. I friggin knew it!

I may attempt to fix it after I'm finished moving in. I still have to find a place to park it. As I understand it, after Labor day, the parks will find themselves void of snowbirds, I should be able to get a place. I'm also looking at a couple spots that are situated on farms, have full hookups and everything but aren't actually parks. That would be ideal. Plus I could get a little closer to work, allowing me to sleep in a few minutes more lolI broke mine too just after moving in to my brand new unit. Ehh, well...I've done that all before lolYou could have got a semi with a big sleeper. That would make the commute super easy.
