Set a goal this year to do a song a week, have it in Reaper ready to mix & final master, def meeting the goal. J kinda doesn't want to sing all the time, thats fine.. the health issues, its amazing she can sing at all..each one is a blessing. Going to try & re focus forward..to distance this pattern am in. It's awesome to record like this..but.. need a challenge, it came to me..just like it did in 2010,
3rd week 2010, Sat afternoon,,how i remember..there was NFL football game on & they do Saturdays last 2 weeks in December if i remember right. Between 1st & 2nd quarter..disappeared into myself for 45 minutes.. when i came down ..this composition book had 16 songs titles & first 3 written out..simply labeled it "My Wall 2010" that afternoon
Last night we were talking about recording & i think J wants a break. That allowed the door to open to what i write & play more naturally. Woke up & finished the song organization
Narrative starts out as i turn on the TV & watch the Towers fall...then it dreamscapes into my life story but not all exact..from all the crazy stuff ,me looking down at myself & seeing me but not the normal way..in a narrative way... its dark..but its real & truthful...overcoming all the obstacles in life & realizing ..it's my..life..
whatever is going on..its on me..to make it the best i can. Crap happens..good & bad...it's how we deal or don't deal..this is a story of both sides of the fence..going to do a double length album. Possibly contemplating a few musicians have been in bands with to do some songs to really stretch this. Thanks again to @Thatbastarddon for opening the door to learn recording......
