I wrap the guitars that get used for songs that have alot of strum chords Just a tad bit of give happens as you pick across. Seems to help with my stubborn heavy handed attack.

Nice! That looks killer. I don't have a Bigsby equipped guitar, yet. Are you using a stock/standard nut and machine heads? Is the toggle switch hiding behind your vibrato bar or was it eliminated? What is your wiring scheme? Did you add an additional set of controls? If so, did you extend the rear cavity route? More PICS, please.

I see. I have a couple SGs that came setup from the factory with the stop tails raised rather high off the body. It looks weird and feels funky for me to play like that. Just lowering the stop piece results in a sharp string angle and feels overly tight. I am considering lowering and then wrapping the strings. So, I'm curious about your, or other's, experience in that regard. Cheers.

Was in the anti top wrap clan for years , until i got a LP tribute. Came top wrapped & went to change it but it was new strings from seller & my brand. So i played & immediately felt something easier ..being a chord strummer under most of my recordings. as primary rythym. Never got it from my Gibsons like i wanted. I ended up going to Fender for the chording stuff.

Maybe the way i approach the strings(very rough 35 years bass..only last 5 guitar) noticed right away.. a very slight give n the 10's like a 9 ..just allowing my pick to pass by with more efficeiency..maybe more natural feeling. Have the 20 SG Special, 12 LP Trib, 06 MM & 11 SG Special top wrapped cause they became used a lot & the last 2 months for chords..have gravitated back to Gibson on the Cording work lately cause of more confidence in the way the attack is

Well lubed bone nut & 102 series Grover Rotomatics.
Neck & bridge went through the 3 way switch, yes, it was hidden by the Bigsby arm, then to one set of volume & tone controls. Middle pickup went to the other volume & tone.
Most of my triple pickup guitars are wired this way. Also had a push pull that put 2 of the P90's in series, and a dummy coil to squelch hum.

But it's now back to a two P90 beast.

The stock pickguard covered the middle rout.

As far as Bigsby's go, I love em'. Have them on 5 guitars.
