I’m selling my white Les Paul Studio project.

Most of you will remember this guitar project from awhile back.

Here is the complete build thread with more pics than you may even want to see:

It’s kind of a long thread, so if any one has any direct questions or needs more pics, let me know.

I have to confess, I’m uncertain as to what I should ask for it.

I spent $595.00 on the Gibson husk.

I probably have $200.00 worth of pickups in it and about $150.00 worth of tuners.

The plastics are Gibson. Those actually weren’t cheap. I’m guessing another $50.00 just for the truss rod cover, the cavity covers and pickguard.

The bridge is not Gibson. It’s from Philadelphia Luthier Supply. I think I got the tailpiece from them, too. All told, I think I’ve got about $1000.00 to $1100.00 into the guitar.

I realize I can’t get exactly everything back. But, I don’t really know how to figure a decent price.

I‘ll have to figure shipping on a case-by-case basis.

Has anyone else ever shipped a guitar and knows the best way to do that?

I will be including a hard case, though it is not a Gibson case.

One more thing, I currently have .009 to .042 D’Addario strings on it, with a .017 wound 3rd string.

I suppose I’d like to get about $750.00 for it.

As to shipping.....yes shipped and recieved many and TBTH
U.S. P.S. has been the least expensive and most successful of the big three options
I concur. I've shipped many instruments successfully through the USPS.
The part about shipping a guitar that kills you is the dim weight. (dimensional weight)
The physical size is what dictates the amount, as much as the actual weight itself.

I realize what you’re saying, but what kind of charges have you seen?

BTW, the guitar is still for sale.

It plays like buttah!

If I have to step into the eBay black hole, I will. But, I was hoping to avoid that!

Im interested..........just broke.....

Boxes....well when I get something IN I keep the box -- presently I have at least 3 guitar boxes and 1 bass box and 2 amp head boxes in the shed.....

plus I dont always sell online-- some come in w/ box-- sell locally -- no box needed.....ta da extra box ...

You can try a local guitar shop and see if they have one they will give you
you can dumpster dive BEHIND said gutiar shop....
Or you can order one from ebay (reverb has them but they are stupid expensive) or Uline

true--

I have SEVERAL things locally for sale-----as do other folks I know----- nothing is "moving" -- dawg days of summer ...
;)
I would gladly offer a "trade" deal.......but your looking to fund another project--and frankly -- I need to refill the Ferngi coffers as well. .......but......never say never ;)
