White Les Paul Studio for Sale

Here’s another possible inside look.

I used to think this was what the inside was like, but this x-ray has a route for a P-90 in the neck.

So, I’m not sure.

The LP studio is the "modern" weight relief, not the chamber. At least according to Gibson.
The "modern" was done to reduce feedback supposedly...
As opposed to the "chamber" which had microphonic problems. Or so we are told.

It sort of gives me an example / test guitar which is "average."

I would like a LP custom, but the price is still a little high.
As for the lack of weight, I will be evaluating the consequences of that. If it's noticeably microphonic than I probably won't play it too long.
I have been an SG guy up to now. I have no problems with SG.
But we'll see. I'm giving the new stuff a chance and trying not to be too judgmental till I actually play it.

I haven't heard a lot of complaints about it so far.

So are you buying it???

Will there be a HAPPY NEW WHITE STUDIO LES PAUL GUITAR DAY coming soon?

It is a lovely thing -- I tried to make Smitty a trade offer but he is a TOUGH NUT to crack ........ ;)

I didn't want to buy a guitar that was made in China.
I made a commitment about 3 years ago. All clothing, everything I buy would be made in USA whenever possible.
And I was surprised to find that the USA products by and large were made better, lasted longer, the price was similar or competitive.
I could have bought an Epiphone LP custom for $650, with upgraded pickups....but it was made in China.
I wanted to show support for American workers and American jobs.

True, the Studio does not have all the fancy trim of the Custom.
But listening, they sound pretty similar so far.

So maybe next year I will buy that Heritage, or that '59 re-issue, when things look better.

Looks like play wear........means it was loved and used.....a lot

the pristine case queens (in my finding) usually dont play well...dont set up right dont intonate etc. ......thats why they sat in the case...........or they were "investments" owned by non rocking accountants (which if you can score one from an accounts ex wife ......who wants to make a PAINFUL point--- you can get some GREAT DEALS --like Fender Strats for 30.00 drum sets for 1.00 etc etc )

ROck on AMS --- that things a runner there
