1: Where do you get 110 octane fuel?
2: How does it affect the lawnmower?
3: Do you know anything about the pros and cons of fuel stabilizer additives?
You must be in pretty good shape to do these types of activities!
First and foremost, my bike is a bonafide racing machine with ultra high compression and 100 octane is required. These bikes run smoother and cooler on leaded fuels and lead is the best anti-knock compound, bar none.
You can buy 100-110 fuel from any fuel distributor. When i do not have access to high octane fuel, i use Kemco Octane Supreme - a Tetraethyl Lead (TEL) additive at 2.4 ounces per gallon in 91 octane super.
I use the 110 leaded in the lawnmower because i always have 15-20 gallons on hand. The lawnmower doesn't require leaded fuel, but it starts easier - both hot and cold - and it smells good too...LOL
I add 4 ounces per 5 gallons of Marvel Mystery Oil to help retard float bowl evaporation and the red/pink color reminds me that the fuel has lead added.
Ethanol Stabilizers...
I use Chevron Powersports Ethanol Stabilizer and it works well, based on my own testing. However, ethanol fuels are inherently corrosive and nothing can completely reverse this.
I would do a You Tube search for videos by 'Project Farm' and watch some of his ethanol stabilizer testing.
I turned 55 in November 2019. I am 6'-3" 215 pounds and I can still wear the pants I graduated high school in.
People often ask me for a 'secret.'
I still work outdoors at home and I do all our yardwork. I wash our cars and I do all repairs on our cars.
Food??? I eat two pieces of wheat toast every morning with a vegetable oil type spread. I drink 5-6 cups of black coffee every day. I seldom eat candy, but do drink one 32 ounce Barq's root beer every other day. I drink a lot of sweet tea at my Moms...My favorite mid-day snack is (one) 1/2 pound bean and cheese burrito for Del Taco with a side of jalapenos, extra cheese, onions and cilantro.
For dinner, I usually eat Triscuit crackers with Dubliner Irish Dry Cheese and about 6 ounces of raw ginger. This is my favorite evening meal. Sometimes, my wife will grille a T-bone and I do enjoy that periodically. Tortilla chips and salsa are an almost everyday treat for us.
I will drink a beer when it's hot, or during a party, but that's about it. The studio where I work buys us all lunch every Friday. That goes to a vote and it is usually Round Table Pizza, Yoshinoya or IN & Out Burger - and I would rather take a beating than eat IN & Out. It's nothing compared to Five Guys...
But I also ride a BMX bicycle as a training tool, so I am constantly using the BMX bike at the abandoned MX track (1.5 miles from my house) for jump training, because the mechanics of a jump on a bicycle, are the same as on a motorcycle, so it's a great training too.
I've only owned two cars with air conditioning in my entire life and I can take it or leave it. The heat doesn't bother me. I've never owned a car with an automatic transmission.
ironically, I am now looking at F-150's just to be able to transport my off-road only motorcycle to rides that are farther from home...
