Some are completely happy with the physical interface, and that's great. There is nothing you can't do.
That being said I like the visual aspect of the editor better. It appeals to me

It doesn't NEED it, but it's available if you'd like to use it. Makes things easier, but all is possible through the knobs
and buttons on the front panel of the head...

Patience grasshopper. You are going to have a crap ton of fun

You'll spend days just flipping through amp profiles and strumming just a chord or two.
I'd suggest starting with the Mesa's, the Carol-Ann, Bassman and such, but I'm a clean junkie!

Then you'll settle on about 100 or so you want to narrow down...and then you'll find
20 or 30 you just love.

Once that's settled you'll be tweaking and testing effects chains. Moving effects around.
Finding an IR of two you like...etc...etc...

Finally you'll just bask in the glory of the amp profile you always wanted. May be a 50's Fender,
or a Dumble or a sweet Mesa or a Marshall, or a...you get the idea!

Clean junkies are a rarity... just saying

Sadly, USPS is worse than I thought. After originally being scheduled for delivery Thursday, it will finally arrive tomorrow!

???

You presumed anything other than they are the worst "delivery" service in the history of all known (and unknown) universes?
