You got it! I do have some very cool amps around here. Most notably a Phaez amp which has a nice Dumble-ish tone and even has a nice Marshall Plexi channel, A Marshall JVM, a Ceriatone OTS20, Peavey Valve King, Peavey Classic 50 4x10.

I will also forward some profiles the seller sent me in a zip file Dave. I will use your registration email form here. Stay on the lookout

Everybody has their own personal tolerance for tech/gear etc.
Out of the box you can get great tones out of a Kemper, and there are the comfy typical eq/tone knobs.
The biggest hurdle many players have is with whatever you choose to hear/monitor/play through.
I went the FRFR route originally. DXR10, XiTone MBritt powered cab, and/or Bose L1 MII.
I just got a Kabinet, and that seems to have all the properties of a good FRFR, and gives back the amp in the room that so many Kemper players miss.

I hope it works for you. I tried going into the fx loop on a couple of 1x12 combos. I found it was OK, but I preferred the PA/FRFR route because you get the full representation of what the original profile creator intended including speaker type. So to me, as a cover band guy I get more flexibility with FRFR. Full disclosure, it took me a while to get comfy with no AITR feel on stage, but walk out onto the dance floor and hear what the audience hears... brilliant!

Good info, thanks Dave.

I play at home, so I will probably get the best result from my FRFR Behringer stereo monitor speakers gifted to me by @Thatbastarddon . I use them as a recording monitor and love the sound already - a gift that keeps giving - thanks TBDon!

Yeah, I have Yamaha HS80-Ms and those do well too. You'll get the most bang by choosing Monitor output stereo. Then the Direct output is the stereo pair with the monitor output. Or you can use the Main outs.

I was planning on using the TS main outs to the monitors. Do I need to subsequently designate them as stereo since they are already set up for L/R? I was planning to use the direct out to go to my mixing board in mono since I will only be recording guitar.

If I understand correctly, this is a previously owned unit. If so, just check the way the Main/Monitor outputs are setup. either output section can be stereo or mono, your choice. Currently mine is setup as main stereo, and monitor mono as seen here...
