South Korean craftsmanship is a sight to behold!

Korea does a lot of good guitars - Japan has the reputation, but I often think Japanese-made guitars are a bit over-rated and the Korean-made a bit under-rated.

I don’t mean to derail Fretless thread but I feel the need to pipe up on the Korean made instruments, I have owned 3 Korean made Epi’s and they all where fantastic instruments.
And I was very reluctant to have sold them.

No derail here, bro. I also have an S101 JH74 fretted bass that is Korean. It is the finest fretted bass I have ever owned.

Korean made guitars I have seen are very good. And I have witnessed a Japanese Strat that was top notch.

Well, after a week of hands-on, I can honestly say: WOW! Due to the hollow body, there's some neck dive, but, no big deal. Tone-wise, it has both Rickenbacker and Hofner traits, it sits perfectly in the mix and is VERY punchy. I'm in love!

Yeah, that's what hooked me. every one of my fretless basses has a subtly different way that they caress a note before releasing it and it's more addictive than anything on earth! Ain't no rehab that can cure me!:dood:
