Thanks, Adrian! Oddly enough, this model ( Excel fretless) has been discontinued. I got one of two that were in the Kansas City warehouse from Guitar Center. The only bass D'angelico is making now is the fretted Premier bass. It's my inheritance present to me.

It truly is a lot of fun! As it turns out, D'angelico has these beauties made in your corner of Paradise! South Korean craftsmanship is a sight to behold! I've been over this bass with a fine tooth comb and can find no flaws whatsoever!
