My Bird always served me well, but those banjo tuners are burdensome. Also the neck feels so long that I'm always fretin 2/3 frets high w/o looking! The 64' I played for years yielded so much $ it was silly not to sell it. FB VII in Cardinal red. But this one gets the business done …. after you replace the 11K ohms pickups that never came in a firebird, with real ones! And I'll be the first to say a Firebird is an acquired taste.

My '18 V is old school proper wired like that too. It's the only Gibson I have with stock electronics.The Thunderchicken is a Epi--- Ive looked HIGH and LOW -- I have ordered some PG material and the MASTER of Hack has graciously offered to make custom PG for the Thunderbird
THIS PLACE ROCKS --- or enables -- Im not sure which -- but its damn FUN!!!!!!
