...well, I had to chase the FedEx driver down, but I got my SG Muse late today.

I received a text saying there was no one available for delivery which I knew was BS
because I was sitting in the office waiting for the guy! I saw the truck outside and knew
he was in the building. So...I went and waited at his truck and confronted him. He tried
to say no one answered when he rang...right! Well I got the guitar anyway!

I got home so damn late I can't plug it in, but I can give a quick review. The finish is
beautiful! No flaws at all and I love the Pearl White Metallic finish!

The neck is a standard C shape and not too thin. The frets are nicely dressed with
no sharp ends on any of them. The action is a little high and there is currently no
frets fretting out. We'll see what happens when I adjust it.

After a quick tune I checked intonation and it was spot on! No tweaking needed.

I really think this one is going to be a winner! I'll have to dig deeper into it and plug
it in this weekend and I'll post updates as I have them.

If anyone has a specific question feel free to ask. I think Gibson may have a winner with
these new Epiphones and the price is right IMO.

good looking thing for sure my first SG was white ----- hhhmmmm

I have always wondered why-- the neck join on Epi SGs is so different from Gibbos --(could it be stronger--??)

sorry about the lazy FEDEX schlub -- he didnt want to haul the box to you I guarantee it --Id have called fedex and bitched---(but it takes like an hour to get a human and then I rarely think anything is ever done beyond that so why give an hour of your life-- ) you GOT THE GUITAR :)
 
Looks good.

If, as you say, it's put together well then job's a good 'un! They do seem well priced.

I have a few questions:

1) The nut slots looks interesting; quite deep and wide and round - supposed to be graphtec. How do you find it.

2) How are the tuners? I suppose they are Grover branded, but made in China with average/poor/cheap metal - but, do they work well?

3) bridge and tailpiece - ok?

4) Linked to 1), 2) and 3) - does the guitar stay in tune well?

5) Finally, the electronics - how are they? Full sized pots or little Korean pots?

Looks like a good guitar, congrats.

I had to really look at that too, but the screws themselves all seem to be in line, so i think its an optical illusion due to the angle the pic was taken as well as how the epiphone headstock is shaped
 
The tuner is slightly off, but it doesn't effect tuning at all. The tuners are smooth and the guitar holds tune perfectly. I only had about 15 minutes of play, but the pickups sound
really good from my first encounter. I really need to get more time and see if I like the phase switching. The neck is really comfortable and the string height is much better than
I originally thought. It's just over 1/16th at the high E and 3/32 at the low E measured at the 12th fret.

The nut slots do look big and odd in the picture, but that is just an illusion. The nut is Graph-tech and it's cut very nicely. Bridge and tailpiece are perfect. LockTone ABR with Stopbar Tailpiece.

Wiring is nicely done with one full size pot and the other three are push/pull. Very little soldering, mostly plug in connectors. I'll post a pick tomorrow...

I'm keeping this one. I don't see finding a better guitar for anywhere near this price point. It's just as nicely put together as m Gibson SG Faded Special and better than my
Gibson SG Special. Both of those lacked the grain filler and I didn't care for the finish. The Special also had a very poorly cut and finished cavity for the electronics.
