The Grote has a dummy coil?!? Factory?!?come to think of it so does my (not lying) 170.00 GROTE !!!!!!!
Hey PV guru...any of their guitars...Gibby scale? sense i need one or 5 to match the decor..a real heavy one with the woodgrain look..real heavy..TBTH I dont know WTF it has but it is a hollow P90 that mkes NO NOISE no hum -- its quiet as a church mouse -- I ASS-ume it has some sort of dumy coil I mean how else would this be achieved in a full on hollow body?
other hollow bodies Ive owned (even with HUMBUCKERS) had SOME noise--
my #1... 61 alnico run the edge of break like nothing i have ever experienced...the maple neck & its a full rounder profile just pops this thing in a mix..it has gone on top of anything & evrything....people laugh at me & this guitar....give me a cord & a BUG 22 & send me off to the studio...Buttercup also gets all the bass workView attachment 38258
cool..the Specials & jr's just seem to make you play...honestly. think they feel better...no finish...even that 60's Lp i just got is matte finish...the Edwards is matte..the SGJ with the maple neck is a very snappy sound...can nail Billy Gibbons so easy ..all that lil squels & stuff he does...on the LPJ more so than any other guitar....am looking for a p90 SG,,,so scared to break my 2 up tho..the 490/490 & 61 alnico's are such a 1-2 punch for leads...the darker & the brighter..they actually sit on each other without changing amps settings...The guitar that I regret letting go more than any other in my life (and I am counting some very desirable pieces in that equation) is my SGJ. That guitar had "something" that nothing else did and I would love to find another.
