What's happening to my nut?!

I am lucky I can change strings .....I would be sending my stuffs away to someone that knows...If it doesn’t have grease I stay away from it..

I may still, but at this point I'm pretty convinced that it is as they say, just the finish beginning to flake off the ends of the nut. I will be watching it closely.

One time in high school I had my nut get dislodged. Luckily, once I got her off of me I was able to push it back into place. Boy was I relieved. Had to tell her to settle the hell down after that.

Since we are on nut stories - for real.
There is something called testicular torsion.
As in "damn, I spun a nad"; ie. "spun a bearing".

The teste spins and pinches off the blood supply.

Round and round,
Spun nads feel like you're gonna die.
Round and round......

Extremely painful; comes on out of nowhere.
The solution it to tether it to the nut sac.

Doctor said could affect sperm count.
We stopped at 2 kids; both grown now.
No problem, my boys can SWIM!!

Had that happen to a buddy. Said it was extremely painful. Luckily the doc was able to untwist them.

looks like paint on the edges of the nut cracking or flaking off.

If it was me I wouldnt be typing I would have a string winder in my hand spinning down and investigating.

Fellas with explorers and / or Vee - how do they balance - pretty even / neck heavy?
Explorer - how does that feel seated?

God I want one of each and a Firebird to boot!!
I dont GAS away from the dang computer; I bond closely with most of my guitars each evening and never have a thought of wishing I had "better" equipment in my hands.

My Flying Vs balance real nice. The Firebird is a tad neck heavy, but nothing a rough leather strap doesn't cure.

I play them at gigs, and love 'em.

If you look closely there is a squirrel in the feeder as well as the one on the ground. I actually took this picture this morning. Some kind of omen I guess.

I have one in my house. Not kidding. His name is FuzzButt. Originally was a rescue operation that my wife made a pet. He's actually pretty cool.
