This is probably a heretical question ... but how are the cleans on either one?
Mark 5 will do gorgeous cleans in the Blackface style on the green channel clean mode, the little switch top left here:
Fat mode in the middle on the green channel is basically Mark I clean, so a bolder clean tone that breaks up earlier. This mode really takes pedals well.
Crunch mode is the bottom of the three modes on that channel and it does anything from Vox-style aggressive breakup to taking your Marshall's job away - the mid control is a post-gain boost after 12:00 and it will rival the Mk11C+ mode for the amount of grit on tap if you push it, but with a very different EQ and feel. This mode caused me to send the Marshall Mini Jubilee I bought back because it was more Marshall than the Marshall.
The one downside to the 25 is that the reverb is not foot-switchable. It is on the 35.
