What is your go-to guitar

My current go to, can't put it down guitar is my 2002 Custom Shop non-reverse Firebird. The neck is perfect (smaller custom shop 50's rounded, like .88-.96 or so). It plays and feels like sex on wheels. :X3:

Up until last May, I was over the moon with my 2014 ES 335. I am still am, really. It is close to perfect and I love it and can't put it down for a week at a time anytime I am able to set the 'Bird aside for a moment.

That said, the last time I was thrown in the deep end for a jam with several other musicians I had not jammed with before, I took old faithful. It was like having a security blanket for me. At the time, I was playing my SG Classic and my Sheraton more, but when it's time to put up or shut up...

Nuttin like Ol Faithful, huh mdub !!!

LOL! When you only own 3 guitars its easy to choose!
Robert, I never thought to ask, but do you play an acoustic guitar ever? I have owned 3. First I ever bought was a sweet EJ200 Epiphone but sold it to pay bills. Next is my Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat acoustic with a pup and eq with tuner. Next is a 80's Yamaha I got off craigslist for $30 to loan a friend when he was at a homeless shelter. Best $30 I ever spent to bless him and preserve his Martin D 28 he wanted me to bring there. Yeah right huh?!!!! Now my 15 year old nephew is learning on that Yamaha in high school guitar class.

Well, I would have to say my 2005 Schecter C1 Hellraiser Neck-through/String-through, EMG 81/85 has been the guitar I trust the most. It has proven itself over the past 12 years. Rock-solid tuning and intonation plus dead-quiet under all conditions, it's the ultimate session guitar.

Used on over 300 recordings, it has earned me a decent income over the years...

Once in a while...I have a 1970 Hohner 400N Acoustic, but the frets started working out, so I de-fretted it in 2010 and never finished the job!!!

I need someone to re-fret it....

Most of the time I use whatever is laying in the studio..

these two are always close to the living room amp and digital recorder.

Robert, Even before you came to the forum and I got to see your White Strat, I wanted one. I have considered repainting one of my Black ones white.
