What is your go-to guitar

Seems whichever 1 or 2 electric, and my one acoustic, are out on my stands get played until I get a hankerin' for something else for whatever reason. like needing the Jaguar trem on the few surf songs I have learned or parts of so far.

That would be the Ovation I've had since mid 70s.

hearby? LOL. Re-reading my own posts concerns me sometimes.
I hereby correct my previous post!

oh ya, and if I'm just reaching for a guitar in my own sweet time, to try an old song I forgot,
or to work out something new on my own, I usually have my lovely blonde Epiphone ES-339 out on a stand
in my music room. I named her Caledonia, and she's my newest serving girl. *grins

I'm still working with her, and learning all her little ways... because I haven't had a P-90 guitar
since the mid seventies. Back then I didn't value the P-90s, but thought they were obsolete and
would only play my parents' music. *laughs

I know better now.

Well, as much as I love my Gibson SG and my vintage Fender SC Strat, my MAIN guitar, the one I hold better, the one I playbetter, the one I really think was like tailored for me is the Fender American Standard Strat, a much better built and finished instrument all in all, and a particularly GOOD stratocaster. Probably the best guitar I've come across so far.

And a good choice of colour too!

Black is the coolest color for a strat!

I have a '98 American Standard Strat that I initially thought was black. I saw in through the window of a pawn shop late in the evening and wanted to buy it the next day since the store was closed. The next day I went into the store and wanted to check out the Strat. Instead it was a dark metallic plum purple kind of colour which I thought was cool. It looks black in low lighting, but bright lighting you can see better. I got the guitar back in May 2005 for around $1,000 w/ hardshell Fender case. It plays great and is another go-to guitar of mine.
