ES-Les Pauls, anyone here a fan of these?

Here's the funny part. I have a LOT of very nice guitars (about 28, IIRC). Gibsons, Martin, Eastman, D'Angelico, many Fender Teles, Fender Strats, PRS's, Gretsch MIJ, Rainsong, and Epiphone. Full hollows, semi-hollows, and plenty of solids.

The two Epiphone ES Les Pauls that I bought not long ago rank at the top for playing enjoyment, tone, etc. And, they are among the least expensive guitars that I have! o_O I guess it's the combination of size, weight, tone, playability, and looks - ALL winners with this model. I could not be more enthusiastic about these ES Les Pauls!

I kick myself for not picking up a sweet EPI Korina V when my mom and pop sop had one back around 2012

I know this is blurry or with lots of reflection, but I just had to go look at other EPI LP Stds at my mom n pop shop and YES, there were a number of others with oval holes and lifting studs. Somehow if I were in Quality Control in China, I'd be fixing how this was happening to the bodies when drilled.

Mom's original 1979 Les Paul Custom...a cool & iconic guitar, but doesn't sound as good as my Epiphone H8BN's, clean or overdriven...

Woah Robert, That Bridge pup is super high huh? So the bridge and TP needs to be high as well, and I presume, if they weren't the strings would be sitting on the frets. I would like to see a close up of the profile of that guitar from body up thru the head stock.

I have photos of a new Gibson Les Paul with the same neck angle issue....all but one of the 5 new Gibson's i bought had steep neck angles.
