Harley Davidson in trouble

My best friend who passed away had a 1965 Duraglide. It was the last year for the pan head. I helped him work on it a little at times. I hate working on cars and bikes. I would gladly help him again if he were still around. My buddy Mike said, " Right on to AMF for keeping Harley Davidson alive!"

And then the EVO replaced the Shovelhead in the mid eighties, the Twin Cam came along in 1999 and the Milwaukee 8 in 2017. Of course the Sportster has it's own unique unitized engine/transmission that is design wise nearly identical today to the 1954 model. Just replace iron jugs and heads with aluminum, ignition changes, charging system changes, add a 5th gear and then rubber mounted it in 2004.

The mid 80's to 2003 Sportster can actually be a fairly fun road race machine if set up properly. Some aftermarket rear shocks with remote reservoirs and an adjustable fork rebuild works wonders. Also convert the front to dual disc brakes. Some decent engine work and you are good to go. I had a 2003 Sportster Sport and it was a lot of fun.

I thought you were half Italian and half Greek? You don't look anything like Tom Jones...

I just go with 100% Pure American Mutt (german, english, irish, scotish, and north american indian) ;)

Edit: also, being I don't own a bike at the moment most any bike would be better than what I have - none. But, I'm good with Harley, Yamaha, and Triumphs as first picks...
