Freaked me out the first time.First, let me say that I HATE (yes, hate) top mounted controls on an amp. Which leads to my question: On multiple occasions, because of said top mounted controls which do not let me see the "ON" light, I have left my amp on standby for DAYS without noticing. Thoughts?
Well, that was disconcerting. Oh well. Now I really HATE top mounted controls.
I have done the same with my Trinity 18 watter. So far, no issues.I've left a 6L6 amp ON and not standby I mean ON for an entire day and no ill results. The tubes may not last long...
I too have done this ,First, let me say that I HATE (yes, hate) top mounted controls on an amp. Which leads to my question: On multiple occasions, because of said top mounted controls which do not let me see the "ON" light, I have left my amp on standby for DAYS without noticing. Thoughts?
No lasting effect from this for me, other than some increased wear and tear maybe. Onward!I too have done this ,
more than once !
And I have left my solid state mosfet on for a couple of days before!
Cheers Mitch

As long as no smoke came out of it, then it's probably fine.First, let me say that I HATE (yes, hate) top mounted controls on an amp. I thought the question was rhetorical...
Thanks and welcome! As long as no smoke came out of it, then it's probably fine.
Resistors contain smoke and when you let the smoke out, the resistor stops working until you put the smoke back in.
