debug hum er rations

Nope.

See where it indicates the output?

The symbol between the “7.5V” and the “2A” consisting of a solid line over the dashed line is the symbol for direct current (DC).

Plus, the polarity symbol at the bottom of the label is another indication that this is a DC adapter.

Direct Current Symbol:

29660

Center-Positive Polarity Symbol:

29661

I checked the Electro-Harmonix website.

Here is the Electro-Harmonix 7.5 VAC adapter:

You'll notice this adapter has the alternating current (AC) symbol:

29662

Plus, it has no polarity symbol, which you would not have with an AC to AC adapter.

It's great that you know this stuff the way you do...

That’s why I wanted to know which one. A lot of the ones amazon spits at you when you search give specs like its ac/ac...but then I see polarity on there, and know that it shouldn’t have it. When I saw that he posted that he found one, I glanced and was excited...but I was heading in to work.
Now I look again, and see the polarity symbols and
If he had posted a link, I might have picked up on it, but not in my car, on my phone, as I’m heading in to work...it is fairly clear to see on my iPad now that I’m home though....that the one Adrian posted above is labeled AC/DC adapter....pretty clearly, at the top of the label. Unlike the picture that I posted of the actual adapter that comes with the pedal...labeled AC/AC adaptor(yep with an or on the end of adapt...not that that spelling is what makes the distinct difference...it needs to be AC/AC, output 7.5 volts, 400mA ).

I was not able to find one last night. This is why I asked which one.
I still can not find one that I trust...like an actual genuine one.

This one on the bay is spec’d properly in the description....but....I’m not in to messing around too much...so don’t take it as a recommendation please.

I’m seriously bummed out about this.
I thought it was mentioned pretty well in the original thread that the power supply was a wonky, and weird spec’d piece. That was totally why I bought a new one.

Ask and ye shall receive!!!

This is the actual power supply at Electro-Harmonix which they actually state is for the Hum Debugger.

I always go to the original manufacturer’s site first.

Amazon should be a last resort.

o.k. -- got the power supply after a slight packaging disaster -- and a repair (thank the GODZ OF ELECTRICAL TAPE-----) it WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mena ---- like REALLY well--

not sure whats ya want short of --- it WORKS-- Im surprised (pleasantly)

I plug in the Strat (for instance) typical single coil hum and "static" --- I turn on the humbugger and its ALMOST entirely gone---with the guitar volume at ANY position -- pup selector at any position-- now-- if I sit NEXT TO THE AMP I can STILL hear SOME static ---its not GONE magically its "squelched"? perhaps--but-- now -- from across the room -- with all the other ambient noises (a/c-- pandora --the dog farting the other dog scratching ----birds chirping) its as gone as it need to be for me NOT to be annoyed at the HUUUUMMMMM lol

can I answer a "specific" question perhaps???

I'm impressed!!!!!

Ive tried to find "issues with tone"-- that is a HUGE negative and other online foirums all but set fire to the pedal as being a P.O.S. that DESTROYS tone--

I find the Behringer Compressor I have ALTERS my tone way more than the hummie--

but -- as I have established I have (99% of the time) a VERY simple "tone" chain-- guitar-- cord-- AMP-- done now, Ive added a BOX and I cant really say I hear any big negatives to my "tone" -- -(I still sound like utter crap) -- and ACTUALLY if anything I SOUND WORSE because-- well --Im not distracted by the HUM and can HEAR how truly horrid my playing is!!!!!!!!

Maybe thats why those douchenozzles hated it???
