Your first Concert you went to.

Gary doesn’t get a lot of credit. He certainly had some inner demons he had to deal with. And ultimately I understand the band letting him go.

It’s also been suggested he wasn’t the most technically gifted ax slinger out there. Maybe.... maybe not. But from this REO fan. I can tell the records he’s played on and the guys that have come after. They may play the same notes but they don’t put the same heart and soul into it that Gary did. And I’ve never felt they were the same group post Gary.
QFT
Probably started my love of harmonic pick squeals!
Saw them at the Waukegan Roller Rink ha.

Saw Kix as the Shoes before they broke at a small park in Lemoyne PA..the first real one, Harrisburg Forum..Krokus & Fist..my ears are still ringing..it was everything i dreamed of as a kid..loud-energy-camaraderie with the fans standing in line & warm PBR beers

I agree

I think it was Heart in Wausau Wi. around 76.
Wasn't really into the band, but tickets were cheap and someone offered to drive.

Also saw some great bands at the county fair in Marshfield Wi. around the same time.
Head East & REO come to mind.
John Schlitt of Head East split his pants wide open while he was crouching, singing to the chicks in front.
That was good for a chuckle.

I saw Jerry Cantrell, days of new, and matalica in my back yard. I lived about 8 miles from the Gorge amphitheater. What a great place to grow up saw lots of band because of cree tickets. If I didnt get tickets from freind that were employees at the gorge then I'd get them from freind that lived next to the amphitheater they called them inconvenience tickets. Dont remember a lot of the bands I saw, there was always a lot of mind altering stimulants around. It was great to be young, now I'm grown up.
