Song Pong

Iphone now uses bluetooth only
They’re pushing their “AirPods” for sure(I was under the impression that they are a different technology from Bluetooth), but the lightning port does carry audio.
If you want to use a USB interface with the iPhone 7 @Mitch Pearrow SJMP , the lightning to USB adapter should get it done(I haven’t actually used one yet, I have an older 30pin iPad that I use for recording with the USB to 30 pin adapter) maybe I’ll go grab one after work tomorrow, and test for you.

MPEG 4....That’s an unconventional format for audio only files. It’s more common for video(it’s a common iTunes digital video format).
There are workarounds for Reaper, requires ffmpeg install, or maybe just installing VLC in the same bit depth as a Reaper install...if you install Reaper 64bit, then install VLC 64bit. VLC will have the ffmpeg codec library that Reaper can then access(be pointed towards).
I haven’t worked in video much in the last 6 or 7 years...But I do remember doing the VLC install for access to the codec library.

Thank you for the information it's my drummer and bass player recording in that format

$60..00 not to bad Reaper I'm not a fan of Apple My old business partner Wayne told me to stay clear of I phones he was the author

of Stingray spyware technology that the FBI uses to track. That said how many people die from a MRI Wayne did.

Happy to be as much help as I can.
It’s a shame they don’t record in a standard audio format....that would be easier on you.

I do have a Reaper license...but I like their honor system “try before you buy” policy.
You don’t have to buy a license to try the fully featured program...you have a free chance to see if it works for you...if it does...buy a license to support development.

Best of luck sir.
