And then twice a week at band practice it's been this amp:

But then at home lately I've actually been enjoying this a lot:

It'll push a 4x12, I've got an EQ in the loop and a tube screamer up front. For it's appearance, it's a beast.

...supposed to have a BE OD showing up today that surely will make sure the Marshalls don't go without use, too. We'll see.

Is that the Bret Hines V? Love how it looks!

It sure is. I am a HUGE Mastodon fan, among so many others, but I'm not a real huge fan of signature guitars. It didn't matter anymore when I saw that sexy, sexy silverburst though

Believe it or not, Mastodon is going to be local to me this coming Saturday. I have scheduled a lesson/hangout with Billy K and then doing the VIP meet and greet/soundcheck/backstage deal for the second year in a row....I could have scheduled a lesson with Brent too, but I decided to spend that cash on a pit ticket for when Slipknot comes at the end of July. I figured Brent has such a unique style that I probably wouldn't take much away from the lesson, whereas Bill seems to come from the same school of music as I did. Being as I've met them before, I didn't feel too bad about skipping Brent's lesson, and I know that I'll have the chance to get the entire band to sign the guitar.

Unless something changed from last year.

Shoot, that would suck to show up to Billy's lesson with Brent's guitar, and only get Bill's autograph on it!

That’s freaking awesome! And I felt the same way about the Richie Faulkner V, usually I stay away from sig guitars, but I just had to have this one and it does not disappoint!

Hell if I could score a lesson or two from Richie I’d be all over it. They were in Austin when I was meeting the production company that took me on, just didn’t have the money or time to go see them.

What a night I was invited to fill in lead guitar for the president of the local motorcycle club's band
My 1965 SG Standard was shorted out at the input jack so I played this cheap squire strat first time in my life
I didn't bring a back up guitar. Through my guitar rig it didn't matter I sounded like my 7/1957 Les Paul Gold Top
I'm not kidding. I'm in two bands now. So I have to play eight sets on 6/22/19 My band then their band.
What fun to play with two other guitar players and keyboards.

I often get hired as a fill-in for a missing member in a live situation, and sometimes in the studio for the same reason.

The most work I've ever done in a single day was last year when I covered guitar/backing vocal spots in 4 different casino bands - at 4 different casinos - all in the same day.

Awesome..pretty cool when you can be Johnny on the spot..def need to know your gear !! The veil is lifting for me as i step out of the chugga chugga world..my friend has a studio that is starting to really take off..get to be in all kinds of situations...sometimes the gear -- and the ability to use it..gets you hired. It's pretty cool when life has you figuring out which gear for what..
