BFT,

Supro amplifiers.

I have 3 of them, a Blues King 12, a Comet and a Thunderbolt +

The Blues King is a Blues Jr. killer. 15 watts, 12" speaker, FX loop,
line out, foot switchable boost and drive, 28 pounds, nice cabinet,
a single 6L6 instead of the usual pair of EL 84s. $599.

The Comet is a Princeton killer. It's was a bit pricey but worth it.
6/14 watts switchable, 1 X 10, volume, tone, verb, tremolo speed and depth.
Very big sound in a small package. (The speaker sounded a little too dark
for me so I dropped in a Jensen P10Q and that took care of it nicely.)
again a single 6L6 power section. Trem and verb sound georgous.
They are in a different place in the circuit than usual.

The T-bolt is a 35/45/60 watt 1 X 15. The 35 watt setting is class A,
45 watt is AB and 60 watt is AB with an SS rectifier replacing the
power supply tube the other 2 modes utilize. The 60 watt setting
makes for a loud clean amplifier that is a perfect pedal platform
and the 35 watt class A mode cranked is wonderful. 45 watts puts
you into Fender Blackface Bassman terrirory. (2 6L6s in this one.)
The first time I brought the t-bolt to a job one of the other guitar
players said, "but it only has 2 dials..." (Volume and tone) At the
end of the job he said, "Now I understand."

Many of you have seen this guitar and amp several times already, but since som many new people have turned up here lately, I'll risk posting them yet again.:)

My main guitar is a heavily modified 2014 Gibson SG Derek Trucks signature model. I have "1964-ified" it as much as I can. I added a pickguard, double-ring Kluson tuners, I swapped the harness for a 50s wired one with linear taper pots, I put in a set of 1963-65 Gibson pre T-Top patent sticker pickups and swapped the stock ABR-1 bridge for an ABR with nylon saddles. Most of it was done for cosmetic reasons, but it plays and sounds great. This is definitely a guitar I will never sell.

I have played a Vox AC-30 for a few years, but these days my main amp is a 1959 Gibson GA-20T Ranger. It had been serviced right before I bought it (from Thunder Road Guitars) and had a Tone Tubby San Rafael speaker. I have since swapped the Tone Tubby for a Warehouse G12C 75W speaker. The amp is really way too loud for living room playing, but the early breakup makes it fun to play even at low volumes. It sounds great.

thanks for the great reply..The T-bolt..could you elaborate in the blackface comparison? I am studying blackfaces now, Super reverb def nailed its thing,,but sense the blackface am hearing..leave jus a lil underwhelmed...blackface-bassman mix of some sort would be excellent..cause my jtm45 def has its territory marked out. And a raw/tweener sound is what i am hunting, Thanks for the tip ,will be diving into Supro tonight. Being all originals. always lean towards unique stuff. 2 dials..i get that..lol..i haven't touched my plexi knobs for a long time..

i seem to go on a song by song basis lately with no loyalty but to the song. a/b every amp & guitar until its layere right..pain to drag it all to studio but way worth it. Still a lil shocked its a strat & fender amp this song. But i got a feeling some kinda Marshall & Gibson will get the lead parts
