Anyone using one or the other XT or X3 Live ?

Wondering if worth buying one, I have a Variax and these look like a good addition to that guitar

Thoughts are appreciated as usual guys and gals

no experience -- dont even know what the XT and X3 are????

more info please?

I have an XT - the kidney, not live. I like the sounds it makes, but I'm sure they have better selections by now.

The floor model is what I am looking at, is like a pedal board all in one set up, as it has a Variax plug, I can then use the Line 6 software and program my guitar for alternative tuning and add guitars

Yes. I'm pretty sure it has the same menu of sounds. I don't use very many of them, but the ones I do I really like.

So I have a chance at getting one for 200$ maybe, an X3 Live. Need to watch more Y tube videos first

I have the X3 Live. I use it mostly for practice these days, but I’ve played it out live on many, many occasions. I just ran direct to the mix using one of the balanced line-outs and used a foldback monitor.

The software is pretty easy to use.

I also use an external expression pedal for the volume control and use the built-in pedal for wah.

951ADDC9-EC61-419A-99A1-7C7620AD9222.jpeg I picked up the POD X3 Live last week. I been playing around with the presets the previous chap has in it, I asked him to leave them on, it’s quite a thing that’s for sure, I never heard my guitar sound like this ever, it’s very nice

I was just testing the KORG before I drop it off to the new owner tmw

Yup, hence the online downloads and patches :)

Did you install "Gearbox" yet?

That's the software you use to build patches.

Once you get the drivers and software installed on your computer, it's pretty straightforward.

Once you get everything loaded and start building patches, don't forget to save them onto you computer. That way, if you ever mess anything up, you can reload the patch.

Also, you can save everything as a bundle. When I make major changes, I'll do that. I've never had to reload the whole thing, but it's there, just in case.

Not got that far as yet. I am using the patches he left in it, half of them is what I can use wens eve. Be nice to go rehearsal and just plug into the PA

I also have a Variax, so looking forward to getting time to sync everything together on gearbox in the near future

Cool. I’ve been using it for years.

Let me know if I can help.

I’ve got no experience with a Variax, so I’m interested so see how that works for you.

Just plugging it thru guitar input gives me so much flexibility, however the Variax can also get power from the Variax port (when I get a cable) and I can adjust both guitar and sounds from Gearbox
