Yup! I went and did it.

Friday or Saturday I should have this and it’s immediately going to get set up with some thick strings. I wanted an axe to contrast with my 81 85 set up and the 57-66 set up I think would really fit the bill combined with thick Earnie ball strings (going to stick with paradigm as I’m actually really starting to like them the more that I play with them) plus it as a real floyd rose, something else I’ve began to love. And I think it looks absolutely killer. (The fact that Richie Faulkner is right up there with Zakk Wylde as one of my guitar idols is a plus.)

With it I also got a Behringer noise reducer and a equalizer.

Thanks guys! I honestly had to think real long and hard about it as for an epiphone it’s a lot of money. It also made me realize how much early Metallica had influenced me as I suddenly realized that my pickup selection pretty much matches what James and Kirk did at one point (except I’m not scooping the damn mids!)

I think my mind was made up when I’ve read confirmation that Richie actually plays this epiphone during live shows. I’ve even read where he did half a set on it. Usually I tend to stear clear of most signature guitars due to most of the time the quality really isn’t up to snuff. But if Richie is actually playing this one stage, to me that says a lot about the quality and the playability and it’s not just a marketing deal.

That and I’ve always wanted a V..

Well that makes two of us!:) Now I want that Epi V...that sure is an awesome guitar. I like the fact it has an ebony fretboard on it. Congrats and welcome to the V club.:dood:

Thanks Don! I was in a rush to get it because next week I was scheduled to go to the studio and begin recording but it got pushed back to the 29th due to my brother from another mother who is also the co-boss moving, he found a deal he couldn’t pass up.

So I’m going to try and surprise them and get two songs worked on for em. I got the shipping verification two hours ago, I was mistaken. The V and noise reducer I’ll get on Thursday, it’s the equalizer I’ll get on Friday.
