Photobucket Phed Up

My system is:
All my camera and smartphone pics are loaded into my PC. Once in awhile (not often enough!), I back-up the PC with an external HD. Resolutions on my cameras are maxed, therefore the pics are huge: 5 MB to 8 MB's. I make a separate folder just for pics that I want to post at a forum. All forum pics are resized to a "Forum friendly", under 1 MB. Just drag the pic right on over here to this posting box... AFAIK, I have a copy of the pic, and the forum will have a copy of my pic... no middle man... F Photobucket

I resize all my pics before posting, too.

For me, resizing to about 15% - 20% of the original size works well for the forum.

Resizing pics used to be a PITA for me. Lots of clicking and tap dancing on the PC just to get one pic resized. A couple years ago I came across this free program that introduces a Image Resizer for Windows button after you right click on the photo icon and the multi edit window opens up. The program makes it so much easier and way faster to resize one pic or a whole bunch of them, in just a few seconds. If you use Windows, this is a great and useful feature.

Hmmm...that does look interesting.

I normally use Paint.net. I’ll have to check into this Image Resizer.

I'm not familiar with Paint.net, but I'm sure you'll be pleased with the simplicity of the program.

I usually select "Large". The pic will still be large enough for forum viewing at 1980 x 1080. But even an 8 MB size pic will be reduced to about half of a MB.

THANKS Chaz, She is great. In my last 25 years, I was blessed to have 2 of the best behaved and smart dogs I never expected to share life with.
My first was a stray Huskie mutt puppy an old girlfriend found by the side of the road back around 1994. He was such a sweet pile of fur. Then Spike came to me about 2008 when a couple friend's sons each got one of her brothers one day. Got a phone call on my way to work one day from one of the boys to say the guy had one more left and he'd give her to me for free. She was a lot of work to ensure her safety and that of humans ( bad pitbull rap) But, she was anything but fierce unless other dogs attacked her, which sadly happened a couple times too many for my liking.
Despite this, I firmly believe her reason for life was to bring smiles to people. Friends and strangers alike, always seem to smile whenever they see her face and personality. Here she is with my best friend's son when she was about 2-3 yrs old. He was maybe 12-13 at the time.

Update, I have gotten all but about 150 of my pics off Pbucket and onto my HD.
I also loaded maybe 40pics directly to Imgur. Very easy to do, just slow for me.
I can now use the IMGUR pics and copy and paste ones I want in places like Marshall Amp Forum's PM's or of course just use UPLOAD a FILE in regular message threads like we do here and get the pics from my HD.

Soon it will be BYE BYE Photophuket
