Here she is. 50w, effects loop, and tone shaping digital magic tucked away underneath the table.

Some observations:

It is LOUD.

It is quiet.

It seems to take pedals very well. No added grit at all as tested with master at 10W and gain on 2.

I want to do an A/B with tube amps, but I need to add a cab sim to the Quilter out or it will be FR. Otherwise, I will have to mic them on different cabs, which is way too many variables. I will try to figure out how to add sims to Reaper

Here is a clip of my clenched playing after an exhausting week. I will note that the Sennheiser e609 I recorded with tends to captureon the dark side.

Quilter

Playing sounds good to me, really nice.

Maybe I'm an old and stupid fool, but I'm steering away from these types of modellers for a while yet. Having said that, your clip does sound good, and the ugly looking front panel of the quilter is very functional; nice options. &, to be fair, the one you got is reasonably priced (I expected quite a lot higher), so well worth the purchase to check it out.

Go on, when you have time, rock it up a bit to see how if it sounds as nice as the cleans.

It’s not really a modeling amp though...just a solid state head with a solid state tone stack really. It looks like it’s actually got 4 or 5 little drive circuits you can select from...that’s as close to modeling as this amp gets. I picture it as something similar to RobV’s Tube Screamer amp. No speaker/cab emulation or effects...just an amp with some overdrive options.

Thanks fellas!

I think the The Zoom pedal board adds some presence to the mix. If Quilter had not said that the headphones were FR, I would not have know it

Nice playing and sounds great!
i have taken to writing post it notes to remind me to come back and listen to the clips; this one and @Thatbastarddon 's Phaez.

Thank you! I must say, I love the Quilter. So easy to dial in great tones and nothing to worry about. Alternately, after playing my Peavey for 2 hours yesterday, I got a big volume drop that corrected after I gave those EL84s a rest. Tubes are so finicky!!
