Hard Rock Version of Hotel California???

Almost got a new version ready for a sneak preview...

I decided to stick with all six string on this. For one thing, I don't take my double neck to some of the 'rougher' venues and I want to create a demo we could actually live up to live. I'm not stressing over nuances, string slide, uneven notes, etc....

Here's the latest sample from 0:00 to about 3:40 which is about as far as I have gotten thus far. I'm not going to go crazy and over produce this one. I did add several guitar tracks of high/low octave and I switched guitars to give a Walsh/Felder feel on the lead fills.

At this point right now, you are listening to 24 tracks and I am nowhere near done....

Sounds great Robert. Nice direction.

Don't take this as a criticism, because it certainly is not, but I was kind of expecting something even "heavier" and with less of the elements of the original. Definitely interested to see where you end up with this.

We tossed this around a little amongst ourselves. The majority want to retain some familiarity, but I'm not sure how much. It's definitely a work in progress. I thought of a hundred ways to make it heavier, but then I feel like I'm getting closer to Jorn's arrangements.

It's changing again this morning.... :-)

Plus creating rehearsal/demo tracks for Holiday (Scorps) and Lick It Up (Kiss)
