and to be honest Id have another in a split second -- was the BEST (next to the WHite Witch taht Six String now has) Epiphone SG I have EVER set hands on

I should have jumped on the EPI version I missed a reasonable priced one in 2016 I think it was.
Those are the set neck much higher build quality; not the $180 bolt neck bare bones ones.

Similar to this, but I could'nt go past $300 at the time. (I still havent, LOL)
Epiphone '61 SG Special P90 TV Yellow with Hard Shell Case and Gig Bag

I have quested for a 2-P90 guitar ever since; I wanted that SG or a Gibson DC shaped. I am happy with the BWG small builder one off run I have, but it is not the DC or SG shape I prefer.

The neck binding is a nice bonus and the P-90's are classic. Epiphone sure knows how to make an SG!

Here's mine. Had it since 2011, when they were first released.
This one is definitely staying in my stable.
A while back I had to make a choice... I needed to raise some money really fast, and it came down to selling this, or my 2011 Gibson SG Special.
The Gibson found a new home, and I kept the Epiphone.
Some people I've spoken to reckon I'm crazy for keeping the "inferior" Epiphone and selling the Gibson... I think I would have been crazy to sell the Epiphone!

My 90's Gibson SG Special doesn't have P-90's in it but it now features genuine Epiphone Alnico Classic Humbuckers which sound very PAF. I've compared the bridge pick up to a Duncan '59 pup and both sounded similar. My SG is now ready to fight off the very evil & badly produced corporate music that lurks around in the billboard shadows. :dood:
