I hate crap like that, Frank. My first experience with poor repair work and shitty customer relations came when I was 18 after I returned to show the faulty work done at a Body shop. They put 2 left side bumper mounting brackets on the bumper to car. Therefore the bumper leaned down on one side, as the holes were reversed High to low on each side thus necessitating a left AND right mount to make it straight.

THE MANAGER of the place told me " that is a lot of trouble to go through for this piece of poop" as he pointed his finger at my car. I said " well, it is my piece of poop, and we paid to have it fixed right, so make it so."

And Oh Dang,,,,,,,,,, I hear ya on the repeated delays and well, not getting too tweaked,,,,,,,, but It does rub one raw when we hope a simple redo, become anything but.

Yup, Frank, that is why I do stuff myself. If something goes wrong, at least I was in there and know the ins and outs. That makes the final fix a breeze for knowing where the weak area needs correcting and no arguments or paying to get the short end.

Oh and my other favorite, I go to do simple maintenance on a tool, car, cycle etc and while disassembling, I find the cheap ass shortcuts on design and construction of the product and wind up modifying it to make it serviceable in the future or to make NOT needing further service due to my Home Brewed engineering mods.

HA the thread title -----I laughed so hard----because well......I felt the same way about the first WIFE!

Adrian you and I have over many years talked about the big picture things but for the benefit of any young members on TTR ...
The first rule for generating wealth is stick with your first wife.
That's a truism!
I found the first rule easy, she continues to make it so.
Luck makes or breaks the first rule :(

Ha, the thread title. Last time I was in Daytona, 2 of my buds took their women and we all drove separate vehicles to Tampa while relocating one buddy's dad. 1 Truck and trailer with one couple and our motorcycles. 1 Motorhome with other couple and the father's household posessions.
AND finally myself alone with the rest of the household stuff in a Rental Box truck.

By the time we got unpacked and arrived in Daytona after the 3rd day of an 8 day trip, I went to a bar to do a few shots of Jagermeister to escape "someone else's 1st wife"
