So Anyway...

So anyway, I think I'll give up :-(
Been working on this tune and taking audio references from Johnny Cash. Just went back to Google and stumbled on to this, where's the back door I'm done!

Damn fine Peavey action there....and Ovation too!

Sorry to quote twice, but...WOW!
That’s some fine picking going on there!
I can see how one might be discouraged by the expertise put forth...
But us mortals gotta stick with it man!
Glen Campbell was possessed during that jam!
Fffffffffuuuuuuuudge!

RUSH already saw you coming way back in the 80's, Gahr.

See what I did there? Back atcha
Rush is one of the first bands I remember listening to. My best friend's older brother was into bands like Pink Floyd, Rush and Manfred Mann's Earth Band. He was about 10 years older than us, so naturally we took after him when it came to music. Being 7 years old, that kind of music really made an impression.

Glen Campbell most of the studio video's I have watched he played a slab board Strat. As Carol Kaye Glen is on 10,000 hit songs and could not read music charts.

HAHA I have seen this before, BUT he really reminds me of a couple of my episodes while tying to fix my old cars over the years and I was either without proper tools, without easy reaching ability from having to work off the ground and getting rusty metal in my eyes fixing exhausts etc. Also if I was working by myself on very heavy or awkward parts and having them fall, slide off jacks, need fixing in sub 0 weather, and plain old fighting every hindrance known to man, only to get stuff 99% reinstalled and still fighting to get a transmission or something in the final 1% for 2 more hours and bumping my head 10000 times etc.

OMG have I let out some doozeys of tantrums.

@chilipeppermaniac Damn man I could have written EXACTLY that!!
I rarely lost my cool but when I did in those adventures in DIY auto repair, sometimes either something else got damaged or
I got hurt and regretted it; though it made me even angrier in the moment.

So, anyway, I tried another Rob Robinette mod:

Quarter_Power_Switch_Schematic.png

But instead of a switch I built a speaker cable, for head / cab use.
The knots in the cable are not the preferred method but good enough for this.
It substantially reduces overall volume with the amp cranked up, but still just a bit louder than I would play
if family was upstairs watching TV. Actually I need to have my son play while I am upstairs with the wife and "take the temperature" of the situation.
At lower amp volumes it doesn't do a lot, maybe helpful to get to edge of breakup; still evaluating.

At first I thought it was killing treble response but the closed back cab is very directional; I usually have it on the table not the floor.
