So anyway, my recent study has been mostly UFO Shencker era, Phenomenon and Strangers in the Night at the recommendation from @gball .
I have been studying Michael's phrasing particularly; currently in the long lead in Rock Bottom.
I like the way he plays some runs similarly but with some variation with increasing intensity and not quite crescendo, but the build up of intensity.
It is very sexual, or maybe just the emotional emotive expression.
Ok sounds stupid, but like the way things have an initial excited anticipation, start off and intensify during lovemaking, ebb and flow a bit, peak, and then resolve, denoument I suppose.
I cannot play anywhere near this level but I am starting to understand better what I am hearing.
