I still can’t decide if I want to go for the Filmore or the new Rectoverb.
Heck just throw ALL IN and get the head version of BOTH
I was looking through Adrian’s Mesa F-30 thread. I think that is the Mesa “F” amp I was thinking about.
I am leaning toward the F-30.
I like @gball ‘s description of it.
I'm sure you know that the F-series was discontinued a while back. It was replaced with the Express series, which have also now gone the way of the Dodo. The amp that covers all the F-series/Express bases (plus a few more!) is the Mark 5:25/35. The Rectoverb is a radically different sounding amp, not really comparable at all. I haven't had the chance to play the new Fillmore 25 but Mesa usually does a good job with their sound samples, so judging from that it's not really the same thing either - it's seemingly a "vintage inspired" amp with more gain than an actual vintage amp but lacking the really high-gain capability that the other amps we're talking about have.
This is of course relevant only if you are looking for a new amp, as there are plenty of used ones available out there if that's the direction you want to go.
I firmly blame Hackmaster--- and Chasfred---- gball a little as well---- they said it would blow my mind------ and well --- only tattered pieces remain (soaked in rum of course)
If it is -- its the best conspiracy I have been involved in!!!
lol
I agree, that's how Adrian got the F30.I don’t think I’d ever ditch my Boogie for anything other than another Boogie.
I must admit that being without Boogie I am feeling very vulnerable and inadequate.....
*sigh*
I will attempt to sonically beat it out of me with Jackson Action into 18w TMB later today.
I would go home and go big with Silkyn Super 50 fury, but alas she is down for the count at this time.
*sigh*
Ha Ha boogie on ye Boogie bastages!
And on and on Boogie
Lord have Mercy!!
G, Hack, and Chas...
The Mesa Gang.
You don’t suppose this is some sort of conspiracy, do you?
Chas you buy that Filmore yet?
Hurry before you leave FLO-RI-DUH...I wanna play it!
