Another Ninjaking NGD

lol---

Was curious --- I dive--- used to dive a LOT in the Keys--- not so much anymore-- 1 year I think I spent more time UNDER water than on top of it........ah.....youth...
now it just looks like heavy crap I dont feel like carrying to the rented boat (cause I did my time OWNING them---ugh)

yeah on second thought-- been there dove that---screw it I'll just sit here and noodle on bass ;)

I am not one to wear jewelry. A wedding ring only. No chains or necklaces. No nipple rings or piercings. I do love watches though. I have 4 of them. A Timex Ironman, a fancy but cheap skeleton dress watch, my Seiko and a Stauer Guitar watch.

It was my 50th birthday present to myself.

Wedding band is all I wear now as well.

I used to wear dive watches --- but -- since the cell phones tell time--- I stopped-- I had a watch/timer in my dive instrument cluster -- so the watch again become redundant-- I have a Timex Expolorer Shannon bought me 8 years ago-- its on the night stand---- still keeps perfect time-----

Mine was an older model of this

Aww Shucks my bad, thats TOEcutter.

So anyway, no jewelry, only wedding band here too.
I stopped wearing wrist watch when my job became similar to an electrician.
Too dangerous and it just gets caught on things.

I watched the original 1979 Mad Max a couple of days ago.
Love that film.
Though low budget the car and bike action is way cool, and what seems odd to me Aussie culture just gives it more appeal.

Always liked those Aussie production Fords

Well, I went ahead and ordered a new harness from David Jones at Jonesyblues.com. His customer service is outstanding. I sent an email asking a question about fit of a long toggle switch in a Gibson LP Studio and he responded in less than an hour. When I actually placed my order online through his site he emailed me to confirm that I decided to go with the short switch instead on the long one to ensure I got exactly what I wanted. Wow! I recommend dealing with him to anyone looking for a new harness.

I have built my own harnesses for the last several guitars I have upgraded but my experience is that it is very difficult to get PIO caps up here in Canada. My Warmoth LP has Orange Drops in it and they are easy to obtain but I wanted something different this time (That reminds me, I need to do a thread on the Warmoth for y'all!). I have gone with the CTS 550 kOhm long shaft pots with 0.022 uF Mojo Oil filled caps and '50's wiring. I can't wait for the package to arrive!

EDIT: Info for my American friends - Cross border shipping of oil products by ground and air is prohibited by the US government. Therefore it is difficult for us up here to obtain oil-filled caps, nitrocellulose lacquer, anything like that. Stewart MacDonald even indicates this right in their catalog and on their website.

I have decided to hold off on any pickups swaps until after I replace the stock Gibson PCB with some real electronic goodness!

Great looking guitar and you top wrap your strings just like I do. I like the pointer marker indicators which are a very handy reference. I fashion out my own pointers using electrical washer wire connectors. I take off the plastic and flatten out the rounded part. Then I cut it out into a triangle shape, file and sand the edges smooth and bend the tip upwards where it needs to be. They're cheap...a dime a dozen. You just need the tools to make your own.
