Rough Idea On Value:

Looking to sell my gear so i thought i would post this for a consensus on potential values:

2016 Marshall DSL40C with Weber attenuator, WGS Reaper 55Hz speaker, 5751 in V1 and 7025TAD's in V2-V4, Electro-Harmonix EL-34's, spare tubes and a spare Celestion 70/80. Absolutely like new.

1997 Marshall Valvestate VS265 2X12 Stereo Chorus Combo still all original - new JJECC83MG - brand new MOD reverb tank and spare - original - 1997 date coded Accutronics reverb tank.

Thoughts on a fair value - for all parties concerned - is appreciated

I think you'd be better off selling the attenuator separate from the amp. Check Reverb to see what they are going for, I think you could get close to $200 if you sit on it for a while.

Usually the tube and speaker change won't make a difference in resale (or not much of one, plus virtually everyone is going to want the ECC83 back in V1, and the speaker is a very personal choice), so I'd say the DSL amp is probably about a $450 proposition, maybe 5 bills if you are really patient. Biggest problem with moving a DSL is there are a million of them for sale at any given time.

The Valvestate could probably go for $400, again if you are patient and wait for the right buyer. As before, I don't think the mods add anything to the price, especially the reverb tank as a buyer should reasonably expect the reverb to be operational.

Thanks, Gball...your expertise is indeed valued. I'm in no rush, and agree the mods to the DSL are personal in nature, and were listed only to offer an accurate description. I will include the stock tubes and speaker as well.

why are you selling your gear??? What do you have your eyes on???
Gball gave you some very sound advice. He is spot on with what he said.

Hey, Chas!!!

I have found that my tone is changing in this new band and I have never been a hoarder of gear - I don't keep something I am not using. I have the Blackstar ID-Core 100 watt 2x10 for use in my studio and it's a great amp for demo recording or tracking leads...

OK that makes sense. My suggestion would be to pull the WGS and put the original back in. Sell the WGS seperate. I may know a buyer for it.

Between gball and ChasFred, that's some darn good advise given here so far, Robert. Adrian will be Adrian... OK, I'll give you $55... :coffee: Make sure you hammer home how your gear is in mint condition. Also, briefly mention the fact that you're a Pro player who's on a different tone quest. Watch out for Marshall dunping prices on their DSL's again!

Thanks, guys...definitely no rush as I have plenty of space, it would just be nice to move these that I'm not using...

Sorry I was at the pawn shop the other day picked up a underwater pulse induction metal detector 1/2 of asking price. A Marshall DSL40 $129.00 I could have got that for 1/2 price also
but I'm done buying gear. As an example my father in-law set me up with his private flight attendant she owns a house S Mapleton Dr. Los Angles. last year taxed at
$40,000000.00 this year $30,000000.00 that's a ten million dollar drop. or 25% loss. in one year. One more example she wanted a 2019 Mustang GT in lighting blue I found one
My father in-law bought it for her and asked if I wanted the 2019 Bullet Mustang I had to fly to Texas I'm to tall for the Mustang so I turned it down what I'm getting at the Mustang GT sold for $10,000.00 under list price or the close out price of the 2018 model year.
