I've been collecting all the parts to build myself a Custom Stratocaster and I finally got it all together.

All I have left to do is install some tuners that I have at home, put on some strings and do a set up!

This is a 2018 Fender American Professional Body that I got from Stratosphere with all the hardware included.

I added a loaded pickguard I put together with a set of Josephina hand wound pickups out of a 20th Anniversary Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster and a wiring harness from Toneman.

The neck is a handmade highly figured roasted maple with abalone dots and a 9.5" radius.

I will be installing a set of Fender locking tuners when I get home on Thursday...

Here are some pictures. I am really stoked about this project. I used all the best parts, I love the look of it and I hope it plays well.20180814_093706.jpg 20180814_093719.jpg 20180814_093738.jpg 20180814_093758.jpg 20180814_103118.jpg 20180814_103131.jpg 20180814_103206.jpg 20180814_103218.jpg 20180814_103221.jpg

It is a hole where an extra pickup select switch went ala David Gilmour. I don't have a switch handy at the moment...nice catch though.

That's what I thought. It's a great little switch for those 2 extra tones which I have on my Strat and I love the bridge and neck pick ups together and out-of-phase for that cool nasally tone.:) You're pick up covers don't match the colour creme of the control knobs and 5-way switch tip. Maybe soak the covers overnight in a big mug of black coffee to match the rest of the parts.

Very nice. The black outline of the pickguard looks really good & that neck,,,, I thought my select strat had a nice figured neck but yours takes it to a whole new level. Damn nice, congrats. Cheers

Well...she is all done, save finding a set of knobs I like. The white ones I ordered are just TOO white and the ones I have on it look much better.

The tuner install and string trees went without issue. Setup was a breeze...very nice low action, no fret buzz and perfect intonation!

Plays and sounds and even looks as good as my 1994 Custom Shop 1960 Stratocaster! I have $1000 wrapped up in it...so if I flip the Custom Shop...
