THe ZERO or the Explorer!?!?!
the EXPLORER is a HELL OF A DEAL with case --- if its not crap--- it looks nice and COZART have been dumping cheap guitars on ebay for a while
HOWEVER ---- Ive not heard good reviews on them.......
The Gibson Firebird Zero--- has a bunch of BAD reviews online as well.........however-- these SEEM to be people who expect a 300.00 Gibson to play---feel--sound---act--look and have the quality of a 3000.00 Firebird.......and they bitch and bitch about how HORRIBLE it is and how its just NOT a good deal----
Frankly they are retarded wankers----
ITs a 300.00-ish--- GIBSON--- Its less than the USED EPIPHONES ---
it costs MORE to buy a KIT/hardware-- or raw wood for that matter--- and MAKE ONE
I played it EXTENSIVELY until I let it go to the Hackmaster SPa Day Retreat in lower Swampneckistan
And --- yes--- the fret ends arent PERFECT (but I pick up a LOT of guitars that fit that description costing a LOT more $$$)
the pups sound good
its solidly built
light
easy to play
great tone and sustain
it is a bare bones stripped down simple grip it and rip it guitar---- which is WHAT IT WAS BUILT TO DO--- and it does it well.
WIll it ever be vauled like one of these???????

if it gets a ding or WEARS from heavy use will you be as upset as you would if it happened to one of these?
HELL NO....
Will you allow a freind to RIP IT APART and CRAM 3rd pup in it just for fun?!??! YEP---- WIll you shop around for a funky trem system and black hardware to add to it ???? YEP!
WIll you have a great time playing an affordable easy to play low stress -- no muss no fuss Gibson that stays in tune and sounds great for under 400.00?!?!?!?

I recommend scoring one---- I am also sort of half ass looking for a SG FUSION ---- for the same damn reason-----
its a used GIBSON SG --- for less than the cost of an EPIPHONE SG G-400 --- again basic simple --- no worries guitar.....
I also point out (hey tell the Warden) that Gibson Melody Makers where EXACTLY the same marketing ploy employed previously and they have INCREASED in value I am certain this is a low curve in the value--- 5-6-10 years from now Fusions and Zeros and M2's will be "quirky" cool guitars in the 500-700.00 range..........will you retire off the profits--- no---
but you will still have a cheap USA made Gibson to enjoy for years to come

Well the HOT ROD now has a TURBO CHARGER !!!
its been HACK-ifi-cated --
routed and a 3rd BUCKER in the middle --- HOT Metal rail job that -- sadly -- GETS KILLED....slayed and TRAMPLED by the STOCK Gibson buckers--- which are AMAZING pups---
--the middle pup will be a rethought -- though at the moment it is a nice "blend" and using the middle by itself gets a very nice stratish tone---
relocated 34 way switch and additional knob--- what a killer MOD...
I am thinking a mega metal Dimarzzio --- or HELL for that matter another Bridge pup from a ZERO --- things are HOT HOT HOT
what a GREAT axe--- fast neck (thatnks for the fret dress Hack!!!) low action --- RIPPING tone --- this is one STEALTH dark Horse ---- a WAR BIRD if you will!!!
