Your prettiest hammer?

Mine is a Milwaukee framing hammer. Curved maple handle. Does the job as intended. ;)
There's a funny story behind this hammer...
I had just a normal hammer the kind everybody has in the garage...
The framers and carpenters would tease me, "what a cute little hammer!" They would laugh at my hammer.

Then I went out and bought the biggest baddest meanest hammer I could find.
Now when I walk on a job, the carpenters are like "wow, nice hammer." They whisper behind my back: "look at that hammer that guys got!"

All my hammer stigma is gone now; never to be laughed at again. :pound-hand: :pound-hand: :pound-hand:
In case you were wondering about hammers: size matters. I'm quite happy with the size of my hammer now. (21 Ounce, not fool'in around.)

Nails: beware.

That's not a hammer. LoL

I'm done with this little pond anyway. Time to get back to the ocean.
Was talking with Capt Spaulding & we are disappointed..we were just getting to be friends.. was looking at the tools My Great Grandfather passed down from the PRR from 1800's.
Have pick axe's from chipping stone & rock to build the bridges across the Susquehanna river. Leather wrapped steel shanks, prob 25 dif type chisel types & sized for rock splitting. They had to make them..no Chinese pot metal available yet..

Anyways... be careful the hammer doesn't come down on ya, life has a way of humbling one out of nowhere....take heed !!

Looks like I have the best hammer of all. I call it my ban hammer. It looks like time to pull it out because some members have requested it's presence. Please, let me introduce you to my little friend.

I've had a few of those over the years. I think I wore out three at PlanetHalfLife in the late nineties...

Thought maybe I’d play along. Maybe not pretty….. but efficient in its job.

One of our lithium battery powered CO2 detectors went off yesterday. It's one of those 10 year ones where at the end of its life it tells you. Non replaceable battery. Replace the detector. Turns out we got 12 years out of it. However, it wouldn’t shut up, even after sliding the switch on the back that is supposed to shut it off.

So I fixed it.

I didn't realize you were a smoke detector technician.
