Your most influential guitar players

Allen Holdsworth was the guitar player in Tempest, a heavy 3 piece
rock band with John Hiseman on drums and Mark Clarke on Bass and Keys.
He was good in that format.

It all started in the mid '70s. A double whammy of my biggest influence that has made me the responsible citizen that I am of today, is Tony Iommi with his SG's. Doom riff-age and that devilish looking guitar... :dood:

After that, in proper timelined order:
Michael Schenker
Frank Marino
Randy Rhoads
SRV
Gary Moore
And oddly enough, in the last 10 years, early Angus Young.

Those are the guitarists I still think about when playing, while very barely sounding anything like them... :rolleyes2:

In case I missed it that anyone else mentioned this fella, I will mention it again.

One of my all time down in my guitar playing soul players is Joe Perry. But, I can't hear Joe without also hearing Brad Whitford.
2 of my favorite axe men in their early days.

John Lee Hooker (Boogie! )

Billy Gibbons (Double stops, searing tones, chopping timing that drives the tune)

Tony Iommi
Ritchie Blackmore
Glen Tipton
K.K. Downing
Dave Murray
